How We Rank & Verify Listings

Trust is the product. Here is exactly how the directory works.

Data sources

Listings are compiled from public business records, public directory data, and aggregated customer review statistics. We never fabricate ratings or reviews. Where we display a rating, it reflects aggregated public customer feedback for that location.

Ranking order

1. Editorial curation — obviously miscategorized or closed businesses are removed.
2. Average customer rating from aggregated public reviews (when available).
3. Review volume as a confidence signal — a 4.9 across 1,000 reviews outranks a 5.0 across 12.
4. Verification status — claimed and verified listings get priority placement badges.

Verification & corrections

Business owners can claim any listing through the "Claim This Listing" button on their profile. We verify ownership before granting update access. Anyone can report an inaccurate listing through the contact form; verified corrections are applied within a few business days.

What we are not

We are not affiliated with Google, Yelp, or any review platform. Ratings shown are aggregate public data snapshots, not live feeds. Hours change frequently — always confirm with the roaster directly.
